iTrip™ Controller App Reviews

The original iPhone worked with this device. Mine is in great shape. I wanted to use it so I began setting it up only to find that the app store version of their software requires ios5 or later. What is the point of doing this? You dont interact with their app for anything. It just runs. I need the one that works with the original iPhone.

Does not work on iPhone 5. Tried everything still not working. Does not go higher than 90.0!!!!!!!!!!! Please fix :(

Please fix this app. Theres no excuse in modern software development to release code this broken.

Does not detect my model similar to itrip auto but with the + & - keys on the side and circle smartscan key :/

Works great on my iPod 4, but will not work with my iPhone 4.

I remember when I could just plug in my iTrip and it would let me broadcast anything from my devices. Now I have to select EACH and EVERY song Im going to play from iTunes, and iTrip loads them into its own playlist. AND YOU CANT EVEN SAVE PLAYLISTS. Really? I already set up my playlists on iTunes. Why do I have to set them up again? Song by song? Because screwing with my phone for ten minutes while driving is awesome! Thanks but no thanks.

Dont bother downloading this until its fixed. Used to work great -- now its totally useless.

Brand new. Doesnt connect to iPhone 5s. Returning itrip transmitter.

Just wish there was an option to Change the name so that It doesnt just display "GRIFFIN" on my car radio.

Tried two different types of adapters. The first one, which plugged into the headphone outlet worked for 5 days then completely stopped working! Got another, it never even worked! Then I tried one that plugged in through the lightning outlet (charging portal) and guess what?!....DIDNT WORK! Im so desperate for something that will connect my phone and car:(

I just bought the new iTrip that connects and plays your music through lightning cable port on your iPhone 5 and Im not very happy with it since there is a noticeable amount of static while playing music(on all stations).

This was exactly what I was looking for. After reading these reviews, the bar was set very low but for $15 and the option to return I took a chance and to my surprise I was very pleased. Very user friendly, able to set up whilst driving (but not recommended) its the closest thing to Bluetooth you can find. Not only does it play your iTunes playlist (which I expected) but also pandora, my podcasts and iheartradio, thats when I knew I made the right decision. The only con is, that it doesnt come with a car adapter for charging:( but other than that it works perfect with iOS 7. Highly recommended.

I cant even test the app because the product doesnt work. I bought the fm transmitter for my iPhone 4s at thanksgiving. It started having problems the first day and stopped working within 2 weeks. I returned it to best buy and bought a new one but the new one didnt work from day 1.

Wow, what a huge let down. I bought the iPhone 5s transmitter as a Christmas gift for myself. I saved up to purchase it and it was the only gift I got to unwrap yesterday. Tried to use it today--no dice. What a huge, HUGE waste of money and time. You should be ashamed of yourselves, griffin. I will paper the internet with horrible reviews and my experience. I cant believe this.

This app is useless.

I have always enjoyed using Griffin products but I just got the newest product with the lightning cable and it tells me my iPhone is not compatible with this product. Griffin please update your app now. Im tired of waiting and I dont want to return it or even throw it away.

Bought the new itrip with lightning connector for international purpose. Cant change to international mode on the itrip and what is worse, itrip controller app does not support international channels.

Hear the music through my car speakers but its overrun by a lot of static. You have to turn the speakers up really loud just to hear, not worth the purchase. Do not recommend buying

This app is fine kinda annoying you need the app as it wastes space but people are complaining about using the app. You dont have to use the app once you install the app you just go to the normal music player and it works fine. Sometimes the radio stations can be kinda crap but once you find a good one it works very well.

Will charge the iPhone 5s but will not connect to iTrip 2010 nor will it connect to the iTrip Application. My adapters work fine with everything else, charging and syncing with my PC. I really dont want to have to spend another $60 just for my iPhone 5s. I think Griffin needs to update the application for the iPhone 5s & 5c!!!!!
